Quick Fixes for Common eSIM Problems
eSIMs make staying connected while traveling easier than ever — but like any digital service, you may occasionally run into setup or connection issues. Don’t worry! Most eSIM problems can be solved in minutes with a few simple steps. Here’s how to get your connection back up and running fast.
1. eSIM Not Activating
If your eSIM won’t activate after scanning the QR code:
- Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection during activation.
- Double-check that your device supports eSIM technology.
- Restart your device and try the activation again.
- Re-scan your Esim-Serv QR code — make sure it’s not expired or already in use.
2. No Signal or Network Connection
If your eSIM is installed but not connecting to the network:
- Open Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data and make sure your eSIM is set as the default data line.
- Turn Airplane Mode on and off to refresh your signal.
- Check for available networks and select manually if needed.
- Confirm your plan is still active in your Esim-Serv dashboard.
3. Data Not Working
Sometimes data may not load even though you’re connected. Try these quick fixes:
- Ensure “Mobile Data” is turned on in your phone settings.
- Verify that Data Roaming is enabled for your eSIM profile.
- Manually enter the APN settings provided by Esim-Serv (if required).
- Restart your device after making changes.
4. Can’t Find the eSIM Option on Your Phone
If your device doesn’t show an eSIM option under settings, it might be locked to a carrier or running outdated software. Update your phone to the latest version and ensure it’s unlocked for all networks.
5. Lost QR Code or Need to Reinstall
If you’ve lost your activation QR code, don’t worry — you can request a new one. Log in to your Esim-Serv account and contact support to reissue your QR code. Once received, simply delete the old eSIM profile and scan the new code to reactivate.
